The Goodyear Tire & Rubber CompanySteve Courington is the Vice President, Global Talent & Development of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, a position he has held since joining the company in February 2020. In this role, he is responsible for enterprise talent work in succession, performance & development, leadership and learning, and associate engagement/culture.
Prior to joining Goodyear in 2020, Steve was the Global Head of Talent Management & Leadership Development for Novartis International, a global pharmaceutical company based in Basel, Switzerland. He has 30+ years global experience across a range of Human Resources and Talent roles across 7 other industries, including with Hewlett Packard (technology/consulting), Bank of America (banking/finance), Southern Company (energy/natural gas), Coca-Cola (consumer products), PepsiCo (restaurants/retail), and Verizon Communications (telephony).
Steve received his bachelor’s degree from Texas Wesleyan University. He is married to his husband Joel, and outside of work they enjoy the company of their 17 nieces & nephews, traveling, hiking and sampling good food and wine.
