Jensen Werley is Denver Business Journal’s technology and health-care reporter. She previously worked at DBJ sister publication Jacksonville Business Journal and most recently worked at Boulder-based BizWest, covering technology, startups, outdoor recreation, natural products, cannabis and breweries.

A Florida native, Werley is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Journalism in Gainesville. While in school, she worked as an intern at the Gainesville Sun and the New York Post, and as a reporter/copy editor at the university’s independent school newspaper, The Alligator.

“We are thrilled to have Jensen join our talented and award-winning news team,” said DBJ Editor-in-chief Rebecca Troyer when Werley joined the publication last spring. “Her previous experience made her an ideal candidate for the technology and health care beats, both of which are important contributors to the Denver metro’s economic engine.”
