Sara Fatima is the Head of Global Talent Acquisition at Verifone.

Scott is responsible for partnering with all parts of General Dynamics Information Technology to advance toward the highest levels of diversity, equity and inclusion. He and his team are the enables of GDIT’s DEI strategy, working broadly across the company to build inclusive leaders and put diversity to work in teams; while aligning policies and systems to be equitable and fair, and holding the organization accountable through data and measurable business outcomes.

Scott also oversees two foundational culture-sustaining programs, GDIT Cares and our Employee Resource Groups. Together they foster cultural awareness, allyship, volunteerism and community impact. GDIT Cares programs mobilize the time and talents of our employees to give back in communities nationwide. Our nine volunteer-led ERGs offer multiple events every week that further inclusion, wellbeing and connectivity across our global employee base of 28,000 team members.

Over Scott’s fifteen-year tenure with GDIT, he held leadership positions in client-facing consulting and corporate headquarters roles. His areas of expertise include post-M&A strategy, organizational performance, leadership development and executive coaching.

Scott holds a B.S. in Biology from Penn State University. He completed executive coaching training at American University and is pursuing sustaining credentials. He is also a certified facilitator. Outside of GDIT, Scott is a Board and faculty member at the Leadership Center for Excellence, an Arlington, Virginia-based non-profit organization building leadership capacity in the D.C. metro area through development, civic engagement and DEI programming.

Dr. Salima Bhimani is the Chief Equity + Inclusion Strategist for the Other Bets at Alphabet. She leads, partners with and enables the Bets to achieve equity, inclusion and increased representation through systemic change.

She came to Alphabet as an award winning equity, inclusion and diversity (EID) practitioner of 23 years having worked in the public, private, international and academic sectors. Some of her work highlights include: designing and leading a project on remodeling the Canadian Federal Government’s resourcing channels by exposing racial profiling and structural racism in education systems; leading efforts on women’s human rights through NGOs in the global south; creating racial and gender equity policy frameworks for large scale institutions.

Prior to her role at Alphabet she was the CEO and Founder of Relational, a boutique firm dedicated to empowering organizations on the path of EID.

Her secret sauce as an EID expert comes from merging her praxis as a systemic change designer, advocate, strategist, researcher, educator and consultant. She holds a PhD In Education with a focus on transforming racial and gender social exclusion in communities and institutions. She also has a Master in Environmental Studies (Globalization and Women), Bachelor of Education and Honors Bachelors in Anthropology and Women and Gender Studies.

In her other lives she is a trained North Indian dancer, an avid taiji sword student and a playwright.

Chad Lafferty leads the international growth and expansion of Attuned, with the mission to make work more meaningful for people around the world. Prior to Attuned, Chad was Managing Director of Wahl+Case, a technology recruitment firm in Japan, one of the most difficult recruitment markets in the world. These combined experiences give him insights into why people join, stay, and leave companies. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and holds a degree in Journalism.

Mecca Mitchell is the SVP and Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer at Burlington Stores.

Steve Koepp, a co-founder and chief content officer of From Day One, is a veteran journalist who has served as executive editor of Time and Fortune, editorial director of Time Inc. Books, founder of the local Brooklyn publication The Bridge, and co-writer of a movie about journalism, The Paper.
