We’re a Brooklyn-based, mission-driven forum on business values. We’ve hosted 50 live conferences, and counting, from coast to coast and more than 250 virtual events. Our events create positive, nurturing spaces for conversations on the toughest questions facing companies and their leaders today, with a special focus on issues related to the well-being of workers, community members, and other stakeholders.
As a speaker, you’ll be addressing a uniquely motivated audience. Our conferences on business in service to society explore not just the idea of being a good corporate citizen, but being smart, open, and effective in listening for new developments in a fast-changing world. The people who show up are deeply invested in this mission. Our audience is composed of leaders representing a diverse array of corporations ranging from American Express to Zillow Group, with expertise in such fields as talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion, corporate culture, learning and development, health and well-being, and more.
Our live events and virtual conferences each feature a single day of keynotes, panels, and fireside chats with executives who are driving discussions of corporate values. Our frequent topic-driven webinars provide a focused, deep dive into specific issues facing leaders, and our private dinners and online roundtable events provide an opportunity for direct peer-to-peer learning for top leaders.
Our virtual conferences typically attract 300 to 500 leaders in the fields of human resources, diversity and inclusion, corporate social responsibility, talent acquisition, and more.
Our recent speakers have included the chief of HR for AT&T, the head of learning and development for Walmart, the head of culture and talent for IBM, and the chief diversity officer of the Coca-Cola Co., as well as leaders from Allstate, Best Buy, Comcast, Citi, Delta Air Lines, General Motors, Hyatt, and the New York Times Co.
For moderators, we tap acclaimed business journalists who specialize in our topics to moderate editorial sessions at our events. Recent moderators include Jamie Heller of the Wall Street Journal, Ellen Griffith of the New York Times, Matt Boyle of Bloomberg, Lydia Dishman of Fast Company, and Emma Hinchliffe of Fortune.
As a From Day One speaker, you’ll have a chance to meet via Zoom before the event with our editors, your session moderator, and any other speakers who might be appearing with you. We’ll encourage you to share any concerns or points of interest. Throughout the process, you’ll also be thoroughly briefed on virtual or live event logistics.
Panel discussions, which convene several speakers with different perspectives on a single topic, run 40 minutes long. Fireside chats, in which a moderator interviews a single speaker, run for 20 minutes.
No matter the format, you’ll be able to explore topics of vital importance to you and to form lasting connections with your fellow thought leaders.
Within a few days after any event, our website will feature a written summary of event highlights, as well as full-length videos of live, in-person conference panels and fireside chats. You can find post-event videos on our From Day One YouTube and Vimeo channels. For virtual conferences, we publish journalistic coverage of editorial sessions.
Our intimate live events, of 250 to 350 people, gather key leaders in important markets.
